Custom glass walls and doors

Glass Walls and Doors in Salt Lake City

We design, fabricate, and install custom glass walls and doors for Utah homes and businesses. Whether it’s an interior glass partition, a frameless entry door, or a floor-to-ceiling glass wall system, we measure the space, build to spec, and install it correctly.

Utah’s glass wall and door specialists: residential, commercial, and custom

Glass walls and doors do something that most interior finishes can’t: they open a space without removing the structure. We install glass walls and doors for Utah homeowners, designers, and businesses who want the job done properly.
We handle the full project in-house: measuring the opening, sourcing the right glass and hardware, fabricating panels to your exact dimensions, and installing everything correctly. From a single interior glass door to a complete folding glass wall system, we provide a clear, written estimate before any work begins and keep you informed throughout.
Every installation uses glass that meets current safety code requirements for the application. We back every job with a one-year product and labor warranty. If something isn’t right, we make it right.

Custom-fabricated to your space

Standard glass sizes rarely fit real openings cleanly. We measure your space precisely and cut glass to your exact dimensions.

One-year product and labor warranty

A full one-year warranty on both the glass and the labor covers every glass wall and door installation we complete. If there’s a problem with the installation, we’ll fix it.

The types of glass walls and doors we install

From a single interior glass door to a full operable glass wall system, here’s what we do.

Frameless or framed? Here’s how to choose.

Most customers start with this question. Here’s a practical breakdown to help you think it through before we arrive.

A framed or semi-frameless system is often the practical choice when…

  • Budget is a significant factor
  • The opening is out of square or out of plumb, and a frame will conceal the correction
  • The project is commercial or high-traffic, and the durability of the frame hardware matters more than appearance
  • The existing trim, millwork, or door frame is staying, and the glass needs to work with it
  • The design calls for a more traditional or structured look rather than a minimal one

Frameless is generally the better fit when…

  • The space is a primary living area, master suite, or client-facing office where the design matters
  • The wall finish, tile, or stone behind the glass is worth showing off without a frame in front of it
  • Easier cleaning is a priority
  • The opening dimensions are standard, and the walls are reasonably plumb and square
  • You’re building new or doing a full remodel and have flexibility on the framing

How our glass wall and door process works

From your first call to a finished installation
Step 1

Call, text, or request online

Tell us what you have in mind. Share the rough location and dimensions if you have them. We’ll schedule a free on-site visit at your earliest convenience.

Step 2

On-site measurement and consultation

Our technician visits the space, takes precise measurements, and checks wall conditions, plumb, and square. We discuss your glass style, finish, and hardware preferences, and answer any questions about the installation process.

Step 3

Clear, written estimate

We provide a written, itemized estimate covering glass, hardware, and installation. You see exactly what you’re getting and what it costs before we order anything. Nothing changes without your approval.

Step 4

Custom fabrication

We cut and finish your glass panels to the exact dimensions of your opening. Hardware is sourced and matched to your glass weight, door configuration, and finish preference.

Step 5

Common glass wall and door questions

How long does it take to install a glass wall or door?
Most installations take two to four hours on-site. Larger or custom systems may take longer. We’ll give you a realistic timeline before you commit to anything.
It depends on the application. Interior fixed panels are typically 3/8” or 1/2” tempered glass. Frameless glass doors generally use 1/2” tempered glass. Larger spans or higher-traffic applications may call for thicker glass or laminated panels. We specify the right thickness during the estimate visit.
Yes, for most applications. Building code in Utah requires tempered safety glass for doors and many wall panel applications. Tempered glass is significantly stronger than standard glass, and if it breaks, it fractures into small, blunt pieces. Every panel we install meets current code requirements for the application.
Yes. We offer hinges, handles, pivots, channels, and patch hardware in chrome, brushed nickel, matte black, and other finishes. During the estimate visit, we’ll show you the options and help you match hardware to the existing fixtures and trim in your space.
Standard tempered glass provides limited acoustic separation. If sound control is a concern, we can specify laminated glass panels, which perform noticeably better. We’ll discuss the tradeoffs for your specific situation during the consultation.
Yes, in many cases. If the frame and hardware are sound, we can often replace only the glass panel, which is faster and less expensive than a full unit replacement. We assess the condition of the existing frame during the on-site visit and recommend the option that makes the most practical sense.

What our clients say about us

Murray Glass installed the glass doors on our bathroom shower and we couldn't be happier with the excellent work and quality service they provided. Even better, when one of the doors needed some adjustment a few months after the installation, they came out and fixed it at no charge! Their team is responsive and friendly, and I'd highly recommend them to anybody in the Salt Lake area looking to improve their home or office with quality glass work.
